Vocational training Women in Pakistan are generally not allowed out of their family home without a chaperone. This means that girls are kept indoors for most of the time. The weekly sewing class gives them an opportunity to meet with others of the same age and learn a skill which will be useful in making clothes when they get married and to earn a small income. We are currently working on a plan where by they can use cloth supplied by Aqueduct to make school uniforms. Aqueduct has bought some hand driven sewing machines and pays for the teacher. The class meets in the church building.
