Violence in Pakistan (November 2009)

The push by the Pakistan army into the Waziristan along the border with Afghanistan has led to bombs in many parts of Pakistan. Churches attacked in Karachi, Pakistan Summer 2009

It is reported that 2 churches have been attacked in the Awami Colony . The attackers threatened the congregation to stop worshiping. Some worshipers resisted them. They desecrated Bibles, hymn books and smashed doors, windows, fans etc... of the church buildings. In the Zia Colony they broke doors and windows and started throwing garbage inside the church building. The churches have reported that the authorities have been unsympathetic. Please pray for the protection of all Christians in Pakistan, that Jesus would encourage and strengthen the churches attacked and for those who carried out the attacks and for those who are protecting them.
